IAME Conference: Protecting ports from cyber attacks

published: 11.11.2021

How do you secure the data transfer between logistics actors in ports? Rainer Müller, ISL (Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics), explored this question in his presentation “Towards a secure and reliable IT-ecosystem in seaports” at this year’s IAME conference. He presented the scientific paper, which was written by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the University of Bremen and ISL on behalf of the SecProPort project. The results of the project related to the development of an IT security architecture and the demonstrator base were presented.

The IAME conference takes place annually and brings practitioners and scientific researchers from the field of maritime economics and logistics together. This year’s IAME conference with the theme “Accelerating Transitions” took place from November 25th to 27th in Rotterdam in a hybrid format.
